This season, as many of you may know by now, the Oil City Boys Basketball Team has a new coaching staff this year. After a subpar season last year, many were calling for a change at the helm. Now, Jason Fulmer has stepped up into a new role. But how will the Oilers fare this season? The Oilers basketball team has made the playoffs almost every other year in the past. But just last season, the team suffered a losing record. That was discouraging for many fans, students and adults alike. Also it seemed that last season the student's cheering section, "The Blue Hole", was rather diminished. The once proud section now only boasted 20 cheering students on a good day. But of course, everyone always shows up for the rival game, Franklin, because that is the cool thing to do. But could the lack of support at games be the cause of the dismal season?
Now with Fulmer at head coach, the Oilers are preparing for a possible playoff season. I have not been to a game yet, so I don't know how the "Blue Hole" is faring. Only time will tell how successful this team can be.
